MEETING OUR OBJECTIVES

STUDENTS & YOUNG PROFESsional Musicians

Since we started, there have been two concerts given by students from the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama. In 2015 we heard the trombone Quartet, Bone Appetit and last May we had a superb evening given by the Eilan String Quartet. It is our intention to reserve at least one concert each year for RWCMD students.

Also, during 2016, we heard a trio of young woodwind players from London, The Gelachter Trio, who are only a few years into their professional careers.

PROMOTING other forms of artistic activity

Starting in 2016, for each concert we have invited an 'Artist (or Maker) in Residence' to put on a small exhibition for the evening. We are hoping to develop this aspect of our activities over the coming years.

FUNDRAISING for the maintenance of the fabric of St. Michael & All Angels ChurcH—A GRADE 2* LiSTED BUILDING

We have now agreed a standard fee of £200 per concert to the Church, meaning that over 2017 they received £800 for the four concerts. In addition, we were able to donate a further £2500, for use in the maintenance of the fabric of St. Michael's.
